Why “Drift Club?”

Behind the name

“The forces which displace continents are the same as those which produce great fold-mountain ranges. Continental drift, faults and compressions, earthquakes, volcanicity, transgression cycles and polar wandering are undoubtedly connected causally on a grand scale.”

— Alfred L. Wegener

Drift Club Consulting takes its name from the theory of continental drift, a bold idea at the time, introduced by geophysicist Alfred Wegener, who saw that invisible, interconnected forces were reshaping the planet. Organizations are no different. Behind every challenge in growth or alignment is a larger system at play: people, processes, structure, and strategy, all shifting together, sometimes subtly, sometimes tectonically. We help you see those interdependencies, align around purpose, and drive meaningful, coordinated change. The original “Drift Club” was a quiet society inspired by Wegener’s legacy. Today, our version is a modern consultancy focused on helping companies move forward, not by force, but by design.

In a world shaped by movement, how you

align, adapt, and evolve is everything.
